We are kicking off a new chapter in StockCharts history today. A new webshow that attempts to help active market watchers analyze and understand what the market is doing from a technical perspective. I like to think of it as "The Antidote to CNBC Addiction!"
We're letting Tom and Erin loose on you - the unsuspecting viewer - with the knowledge that they will educate, inform and entertain you WAY better than the talking heads on TV. In many ways, Tom and Erin have been holding back during their previous lives as webinar hosts. "MarketWatchers LIVE" will let them tell you exactly what they think about the market and about individual stocks... and why.
Stand back. This should be fun...

P.S. Currently, the show runs from Noon until 1:30pm Eastern on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. To watch the show, wait until it's about to start and then click the red "On Air" banner that appears on our SharpCharts workbench page.
P.P.S. We are not recording these shows. That is a deliberate decision on my part so don't blame Tom or Erin. There are a couple of reasons for this decision: 1.) It makes producing these shows much easier for everyone, 2.) In theory, much of the short-term observations Tom and Erin share on the show will be outdated quickly, 3.) They will post their charts in a public ChartList that you can visit anytime, 4.) They will create follow-up posts here in this blog if something "long-term" is accidentally discussed during the show, and 5.) We will soon switch to a more advanced webcasting technology that will automatically record and replay the show on demand.
P.P.P.S. We are still working on creating the bells and whistles that will surround the show - things like the opening slideshow, the music, the chart formats, the interactive aspects, etc. You can expect things to continually improve over the next couple of weeks and months as we find our way.
P.P.P.P.S. You do not HAVE to watch the entire show! This is just like CNBC's lunch-time show. Feel free to stop watching any time you have something else that needs doing. Tom and Erin will do it all again soon enough. This isn't meant to be a chore - it is supposed to be fun, entertaining and occassionally educational. Feel free to keep this on in the background as you work - just like many people do with CNBC.
P.P.P.P.P.S. In addition to this blog, MarketWatchers LIVE has a Facebook page, a Twitter feed, an email address, a carrier pidgeon roost, and its own slot down in the mailroom. Some of those things are still being "configurated" - but as they come online, Erin will tell you all about them. This will be the most interactive StockCharts webshow ever!
