CHARTCON AGENDA FINALIZED - Speaking of ChartCon, we've just finalized the ChartCon agenda. We've added two new speakers to the list - Gatis Roze and Greg Schnell - and we've adjusted the timing and order of the presentations to make things flow more smoothly. UPDATES TO OUR SHARE SYSTEM - This week we've updated the "Share" and "Linkable Version" links on our SharpCharts workbench. In the past, we've had trouble with several of the share links that stopped working because of changes at the target website. Because of that, we've scaled back the number of supported websites on our "Share" link to only include high-traffic websites with reliable sharing capabilities. Currently, that means that we only support Twitter, Facebook and sending a chart in email. We expect to add Blogger.com soon and we hope to add other popular websites back at some point in the future. We also updated our Step-by-Step tutorials on sharing charts.
UPDATES TO CHART LINKING - The "Linkable Version" link has also undergone some changes - it now pops up a box that gives you the link instantly. Simply press "CTRL-C" on your keyboard to copy it to your computer's clipboard ("Cmd-C" on a Mac). Better yet, check the "Shorten URL" checkbox to get a super-short "sharts.co" version of the link and then copy it to your clipboard. Once you've copied the link, you can paste it into an email, an IM message, a document, or some other website.
One important note about "Linkable Version" and bookmarking: If you want to bookmark a chart in your browser's Favorites area - you need to first click "Linkable Version" (just like before) and then click the "Reload with link" button to reload the page. You can then bookmark your chart just like before.
